Letter From Leonard Muyelele, Director
Dear friends,
At Star of Hope we have a wonderful story to tell, because of your support! We have growing kids who have great hope for the future. We consider ourselves lucky to be on the western side of the country as the eastern part of Kenya currently is such a troubled spot due to terrorism. Education is a key to breaking the cycle of war, poverty and terrorism. We are so grateful for your continued support and assure you that every gift is being put to great use.
Warmest regards from all of us at SOH.
Leonard Muyelele and the Star of Hope family.
Progress Report
The rains have once again started, the draught is abating, crops have been planted and the new well, once dry, is filling. The well water will be tested for purity, then fresh water will again be just a pump away.
We are still struggling with bureaucracy to get the electricity turned on, but patience and perseverance will prevail!
With the Holiday funds you donated, the children now have desks and tables for their classwork. In addition, building of the 3rd block of classrooms has begun!
Five Education Angels Needed
It only costs $160 a year to become an Education Angel and support a child’s education! We'll send you a picture, brief history and updates of the little Star you’re sponsoring. Your money covers uniforms, school supplies and helps with teacher salaries.
Five kids need Angels. Can you help? If so, contact Dana Sullivan at danajsullivan@comcast.net
Thanks!
Thank You!
Your support helps provide an education and meals to 150 children including a safe and loving home to 30 of them. Because of you they have a chance for a happy, productive future. Thank you!!
