Angela and Cecilia at Dancing For the Stars 2015
Another inspiring young lady, Cecilia Posenke (12), puts her artistic talents to work for the kids of Star of Hope. This phenomenal young artist and her mom Angela, sell Cecilia’s hand-made jewelry – highlighting Kenya’s colors and featuring names of the SOH kids -- at our summer Dancing for the Stars fundraisers. Cecilia donates all proceeds from her loving craftsmanship to Star of Hope.

Cecilia gets her school involved!
Cecilia wrote to the students and parents of her school telling them about Star of Hope and asking them to donate to the Boxes to Bungoma campaign. In addition to medical and school supplies, Cecilia suggested letters to be read aloud to the children of Star of Hope. The letters could be "about yourself, sports, your pets, school or anything."
What an inspiring and creative 7th grader!
All of us at Star of Hope are touched by the dedication and compassion of these incredible young ladies (and their equally incredible moms). Project Manager and Board Member Selah “All Heart” Brown asked the girls if we could partner with them, and the “Boxes to Bungoma” campaign was born. We invite you to partner with us and them too.
As always ... thank you for all you do as a member and supporter of the Star of Hope family!

Donor & Education Angel Melanie Kitzan and her beautiful daughters, Claire (12), Lydia (14) and Audrey (9), wanted a more personal connection with the kids at Star of Hope. For the past few years, they purchased, packed and shipped items directly to Star of Hope. These shipments included individual care packages for the children and general supplies for the school. The girls also included personal letters introducing themselves and sharing a bit about their lives in Seattle.
Last year's boxes were a big hit with the kids.
